Verify an installation
This walkthrough checks installation, compilation, user interaction and trace inspection without an external service or model API key.
Prepare the check
Install the version for your platform from the
Hub, then create the hello.tb file from the
first program.
touba version
touba compile hello.tb --out hello.air.json
touba run hello.air.json --interactive-user-inputs --trace-out trace-success.json
touba inspect trace-success.json
Expected results
| Step | Check |
|---|---|
| Version | The version matches the installed file; the build identifies its contents |
| Compilation | hello.air.json is created |
| Execution | The message appears and the terminal asks for an answer |
| Trace | Events describe execution and completion |
| Editor, if used | Touba Language Toolkit displays file diagnostics |
When reporting an issue, include your OS, Touba version, command, expected result and actual result. Remove secrets and personal data from shared evidence.
Test your application
Continue with business tests: an authorized case checks the expected result and effects; a refusal case checks the control and the absence of forbidden effects.
The benchmark page separately presents comparative evaluation, implementation checks and formal properties.
